The village of Honley

Attractive stone weavers cottages with distinctive rows of mullion windows cluster the  narrow cobbled  alleys and courtyards  of this historic village,  just 2 miles from the market town of Holmfirth and the Peak District National Park.

Village facilities :   Choice of restaurants including Mustard and Punch (featured in the Good Food Guide),  takeaways, café and traditional pub serving highly recommended home-cooked food.  The main shopping area with a good variety of shops and several chic boutiques and little art gallery is within a five minute stroll through cobbled streets.

Against the glorious backdrop of  Yorkshire’s Last of the Summer Wine hills this quiet corner offers a tranquil base for secluded country walking  and exploring attractions both on the doorstep,  and further afield.

The M1 and M62 motorways, excellent road and nearby mainline rail  links  offer easy access to all the attractions of  the North of England.

Guestbook

Just a few extracts from the cottage Visitors Book :

We loved the website but the cottage is even lovelier than we could ever have hoped for. We’ve stayed in five star cottages that come nowhere near this mark for atmosphere , comfort and attention to detail (and the bedroom is so beautiful and the bed so comfortable). It’s so obvious that you really care. Can’t wait to visit Hollin House next summer.
HB, Devon, England

We wanted to stay longer! The cottage is lovely and we appreciated the goodies on arrival. It's these little touches that make the difference. One of the nicest, most comfortable places we have stayed in since we left New Zealand 6 weeks ago … and we’ve stayed in a few! …..
Keith and Marg, New Zealand

The cottage was lovely, truly relaxing and comfortable to be in and a great luxurious break for us, thank you. Equally, your service has been exceptional throughout and it has been a real joy to book with you. We will be recommending you to all.
HW, York, England

Wonderful to have somewhere so comfortable and quiet to come home to.
Jane & Bob, Norfolk, England

This cottage feels much loved … We’ve had a snug week here. Thank you for the welcome treats, Annette, you’ve created a haven with character.
BB, West Sussex , England

Thank you very much for your warm hospitality, the cottage is so incredibly charming. Warm, cosy and for those of us from the USA asking for a non-US experience – “perfect”! In your lovely cottage we found all the comforts and convenience we needed. Yorkshire was a revelation, the landscape, dry stone walls, even the sheep are charming! France Fold cottage has been our haven after long days driving and sightseeing – it feels like home.
Karen, Illinois USA

Enormous thanks for this delightful cottage in this delightful area.
Graham and Renee, Mayrhofen, Austria
